Jaya is a Masters of Health Care Management candidate at Yale University. In her past life, she was a medical malpractice attorney, researching the harm caused by defective reproductive devices, and the class actions that arose from them. Stunned by the low standard of care applied to these devices, Jaya came to Yale to create her own fem-tech start-up – reproductive devices, designed with the sanctity of the female body in mind. Partnering with her technical co-founder, Emily Deschenes (Yale bio-medical engineering PhD candidate), Jaya is now the CEO of forEVA, a women’s health company run by women, for women. By non-invasively analyzing reproductive hormones, forEVA is revolutionizing how we think about the menstrual cycle, enabling women to make healthcare choices that feel informed and empowered.
