Description
Housing – addressing homelessness, tackling zoning regulations, supporting renters, increasing supply – has become an increasingly top priority for cities and states across the country. As municipalities and states look towards the future, how do housing policy and economic growth policy intersect — and where are they in tension? In cities that have upzoned and updated zoning regulations, are we seeing positive impacts on supply with decreased rents for tenants? What is the role of innovation as we move forward — in production, financing, or other forms? In this panel, we will bring experts in development, public housing, zoning, and government together to explore these questions with a focus on Connecticut and a national lens.
