Omair Khan is a Partner at ARTIS Ventures, where he focuses on investing in therapeutics and healthcare technologies with a focus on next-generation drug development and tech-enabled healthcare delivery. He plays an active role in sourcing, diligencing, and supporting portfolio companies, and currently serves on five boards across the ARTIS portfolio. Prior to ARTIS, Omair gained broad interdisciplinary experience across clinical medicine, biotechnology, federal health policy, and global health—ranging from conducting fieldwork in Bangladesh’s Rohingya refugee camps to working on healthcare legislation in the U.S. Senate. In addition to his roles at ARTIS, Omair is the founder of the Institute for Education's TechBio Fellow Program in Washington, D.C., a non-profit committed to harnessing the power of data, innovation, and soft diplomacy on a global stage. He is an MD-PhD candidate at Stanford University and holds a BS in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and Global Health Studies from Yale University, where he was awarded the Edgar J. Boell Prize for the most outstanding senior thesis. He is a recipient of the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans.
