Michael Nogelo is the President & CEO of the Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board (EWIB), which oversees workforce funding and policy development in its 41-town service delivery area. EWIB's mission is to coordinate a regional workforce development system that promotes economic vitality and equitable opportunity by preparing workers for in-demand, quality jobs on career pathways. Prior to joining EWIB in 2022, Michael worked for 17 years at Cross Sector Consulting, a Connecticut nonprofit and public-sector consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, fund development, and evaluation. Michael graduated from the Yale School of Management, with a concentration in nonprofit management, in 2005. Prior to pursuing his MBA, Michael worked in customer service at the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund, as a residential counselor at a transitional living program for teenagers in Boston, and as a basketball player in professional leagues in the Netherlands and Spain.
