I am the CEO and Co-founder of PriMetaz, a medical device company developing accessory products that turbocharge MRI scanners. These accessories pair the company’s patented metamaterial technology with existing MRI hardware to reduce growing patient waitlists, improve diagnostics and patient outcomes, and increase hospital revenue. Prior to joining PriMetaz, I received my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University. My research interests focused predominantly on the field of MRI physics, computational image processing, and quantitative MRI characterization of the human brain. These research endeavors allowed me to interact directly with MRI data from market leading scanner brands and deepened my understanding of the role diagnostic imaging plays in patient care and disease monitoring. In my time as CEO, PriMetaz was awarded and has since completed a National Science Foundation Small Business Technology Transfer Phase I Award. In addition, I have represented the business as an active participant in esteemed startup accelerator programs, including MassChallenge’s U.S. Early-Stage Accelerator and M2D2’s IMPACT Accelerator. My dedication to the commercialization of PriMetaz’s core technology has seen the company become a Spoke of the ARPA-H Investor Catalyst Hub, as well as win Venture Café's Pitch2Tokyo Global Competition, TiE University’s Boston Pitch Competition (placing 5th globally) and M2D2 IMPACT’s Pitch-off.
