Brigid Brennan brings over 30 years of legal training and passion for advocacy to the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance where she serves as Board Director, General Counsel, and Director of Advocacy. Brigid joined FARA when her son was diagnosed with FA in 2014. Since then, she has partnered with numerous stakeholders to advocate for policy changes and increased funding to expedite rare disease research.

She is a member of the bar in New York & New Jersey and is currently the Democratic candidate for Mayor in the Village of Larchmont, NY
