Missy Narula is the CEO of Crankstart Foundation and Crankstart Management LLC. At Crankstart Management LLC, Missy manages the investments and business activities of the family office. Crankstart Foundation works with others to address social issues and their underlying causes, with a particular orientation towards Education, Economic Mobility, Democracy, Housing Security, Sciences and the Environment. Crankstart’s work is place-based, with a primary focus on the Bay Area and a recognition that many components of a stable life are interdependent.

Missy combines a community orientation with an investor mindset and the grit and creativity of an operator. Previously, her career spanned entrepreneurship, investing, and consulting. She is an experienced global finance executive with a track record of leveraging financial information to drive strategic insight. As an entrepreneur, Missy established herself as a thought leader and was published in Forbes and interviewed on ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC. She is particularly passionate about helping others find the magic that happens when a career spans both the private sector and the nonprofit sector.

Missy is a proud Yalie and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Yale University. During her college years, she was an Advisor to the Dean of Yale College and was the Head Tour Guide. She also holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where she graduated with high distinction as a Baker Scholar (top 5%). Missy is a proud mom of 3 kiddos, ages 13, 11, and 7.
