Speaker Bio
Mitchell E. Taub received his B.S. degree in Zoology from UMass at Amherst. He then earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from USC, followed by a postdoctoral appointment at the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy in Copenhagen, Denmark. Prior to joining Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) in 2001, he worked in the Exploratory ADME group at Novo Nordisk in Denmark. In addition to representing DMPK on the empagliflozin (Jardiance) team, he led the transporter laboratory for many years, where he was responsible for the design and validation of various drug transporter assays. Mitch currently leads the Drug Metabolism & Transport group at BI in Ridgefield, CT, supporting the clinical development of primarily NCEs but also various other modalities. He has coauthored over 50 peer-reviewed articles and has delivered numerous talks and poster presentations over the course of his career. Mitch is an active member of AAPS, ISSX (Treasurer-Elect, Council Member), the ITC, and is an Editorial Advisory Board member for the Journal of Drug Metabolism and Disposition.
