Dr. Rob Klee is a Senior Lecturer at the Yale School of the Environment and Managing Director of Clean Energy Programming at the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. Trained at the intersection of industrial ecology, law, and earth science, he holds a Ph.D. in industrial ecology from Yale, a J.D. from Yale, and a Master of Environmental Management from Yale, as well as an undergraduate degree from Princeton in geology and environmental science. Klee served as Commissioner of Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) from 2014 to 2019 under Governor Dannel P. Malloy, leading the state agency responsible for protecting natural resources, expanding outdoor recreation, and integrating energy and environmental policy to build a sustainable 21st‑century economy.
