Erica Schwartz is the Senior Vice President of Theatrical Programming for Ambassador Theatre Group, North America (ATG).
At ATG, Erica oversees theatrical programming for the company’s North American venues, covering 13 venues in 8 different markets. Under her leadership, the venues present a wide array of programming including pre-Broadway engagements (Moulin Rouge, The Queen of Versailles, A Beautiful Noise and Plaza Suite starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick), Broadway Tours, Comedians (Hannah Gadsby, John Leguizamo), Concerts and Family Entertainment. Erica began her time with ATG in 2017 as the General Manager at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston. She established significant relationships in Massachusetts while working on a Theatrical Tax Credit with state and city leaders.
Prior to ATG, Erica was the Senior Director of Programming at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida presenting a plethora of programing at their multiple venues most notably a sold-out presentation of Andrea Bocelli, launching the 2017 tour for Billy Crystal and a New Year’s Eve concert by The Roots.
For almost 20 years, Erica has served in various capacities in the New York City performing arts community, working for organizations including Lincoln Center, producer Daryl Roth, MCC Theater, The Araca Group, TMG, and 321 Theatrical Management. Through these various roles she worked on numerous shows including Wicked, … Spelling Bee, Buyer & Cellar, Movin’ Out, Doubt, and Hairspray. She is proud to have begun her career as the Artistic Services Associate for Chicago Shakespeare Theater, winner of the 2008 Tony Award for Best Regional Theatre.
She is a three-time Tony Award® winner as a Co-Producer of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Parade, and David Byrne’s American Utopia.
Erica’s Broadway producing debut was Neil LaBute’s Reasons To Be Pretty (Tony, Drama Desk & Outer Critics Circle Nominations for Best Play). She is an active investor in several Broadway shows – including the current smash-hit Hamilton, Plaza Suite, and an international tour of Wicked.
Erica is a graduate of Northwestern University where she holds the honor of being named a Distinguished Alumnus. She resides in NY with her husband and their two daughters.
