At Emerald Technology Ventures, Clayton covers the water and wastewater industries. He defines our investment strategy within his sector and is involved in all phases of the investment process: sourcing, evaluating, selecting and supporting innovative startups from early diligence to exit. In the Emerald Portfolio, current Board role includes StormHarvester, Waterly and FREDsense. 
Prior to joining Emerald in 2020, Clayton held various positions in the water sector. While at GE Water & Process Technologies (now Suez), as a global product manager he led a series of product strategies, sales targets and expansion projects into emerging markets. More recently, at Xylem, Clayton was responsible for business development in the condition assessment of aging infrastructure for a range of municipal and industrial clients, he also focused on implementation of digital solutions across the entire water sector.
