Tao joined MRLV in 2025 as a Senior Associate. Before joining MRLV, he was a Venture Creation Associate at Flagship Pioneering, where he contributed to the launch of Ampersand Biomedicines and Profound Therapeutics. Earlier in his career, Tao held R&D positions at Eli Lilly and co-founded Cerberus Therapeutics. He earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Georgia, an MBA from the Stern School of Business, and completed his Ruth Kirschstein fellowship at the Whitehead Institute/MIT.
